Understanding Keywords - Using Jaaxy

Research and Manage Keywords

Let’s say you want to write a blog on your website or do a campaign on something related to “new york”. To be successful, you’ll need lots of visitors to be drawn to your website when they search online for the keyword “new york”.

Having high quality content will let search engines such as google be able to pick your website up and gradually have a placement for it – this is called “ranking”.

You certainly don’t want your website showing up on Google’s hundredth page. You want it showing on the first page so you can attract more visitors.

OK. You got it. You understand the value of high quality keyword(s).

The challenges are:

  • How to confirm that the keyword(s) you are looking to use are something visitors would search for
  • How to confirm how many people, on a monthly average, are searching for such keyword(s)
  • How to make sure that these keyword(s) are not used by too many other websites. This is important because if the competition is high, this will affect whether your website comes up on the first page or not.

Let’s explore how Jaaxy helps solve some of these keyword(s) research challenges.

1.) Keywords

As you’ve done previously, to strategically determine the right keywords you use the keywords utility in Jaaxy.

  1. Enter the Keyword(s). In this case, say “new york
  2. Click on “Find Keywords

Jaaxy searches a database of hundreds of millions of words and displays a list of what people would typically search for on a search engine such as google.

In the image above, in several columns you’ll notice Avg, Traffic, QSR, KQI, SEO, Domains, Brainstorm. The following describes what they represent and mean.

Avg: This displays the average number of searches that the keyword displayed received per month. This is very helpful to confirm whether such a keyword or phrase would be used by anyone searching online.

Traffic: This displays the visit to a website if the site achieves first page ranking in the search engines. This is very useful to know that such keywords lead to a first page ranking in search engines.

Quoted Search Results (QSR): The number of competing websites ranked in Google for this exact keyword (lower number is desired here; e.g: 0-100). As mentioned previously, you don’t want a keyword that’s used by thousands of websites. If you do, It’ll just make it much harder for your website to come up on the first page.

Keyword Quality Indicator (KQI): Green is great, Yellow is OK, Red is Poor quality.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO): This is a score based on traffic and competition; the higher the score, the more likely your website will rank for this keyword on the first page (scale of 1-100, higher = better).

Domains: This identifies what domains are related to the listed keywords (e.g: whether these keywords are on a .com or .org domain)

Related Brainstorm: This provides additional information and ideas on other potential niche or opportunities that may be related to your research keywords. You may have something in mind but the brainstorm column might inspire other ideas to consider for the same or new niche.

2.) Alphabet Soups

To further ensure the campaign or the content being created on your website is rich of quality keywords, another approach is to use the Alphabet soup method.

The idea here is to search for keywords and include alphabets “a”, “b”, “c”, …. or a combination of these characters to see what ideas for keywords come up in your search.

For example, you are interested in searching for related quality words to “vitamix blender”

Through the Alphabet Soups technique in Jaaxy, type “vitamix blender” and include “a” to see what comes up.

Do the same by typing “vitamix blender” and include “b”,

Do the same by including “c”, or “ab” or “ac” etc…

As you see below, different ideas come up with phrases people search. The user could then make use of these ideas in the content of the blog or in the campaign.

If google instance was used, you’ll note that this can take a lot of time because of the manual process involved. Jaaxy simplifies and improves the productivity in several folds.

3.) Save Search Lists and History

It might be important to store the searched list and records somewhere for later viewing. To be productive, you don’t want to be repeating the same search at another time. The Save and History utilities enable the user to select and save all desirable keywords to an existing or new list. This can become very handy when a user wants to find and use these keywords for other campaigns.

Saving the list above allows them to be managed and easily accessible later. The list can also be exported into data files such as “CSV” or “txt” for easy distribution.

For example: A user can save the list by giving it a new name or adding it to an existing list.

Search history allows the user to be able to look back at what was searched and re-use for a new campaign.

Note that the lists above could be sorted and arranged by Avg, Traffic, QSR, KQI and SEO
